Game Review

Shadow of the Colossus is an atmospheric action adventure for PlayStation 4 in which a young warrior named Wander enters a forbidden land to challenge towering colossi. Guided by a mysterious purpose, Wander travels across vast ruins and wilderness with his horse Agro.

Gameplay and features: Search each region, find the next colossus, and study its movement and architecture before climbing its body. Sword, bow, horse riding, environmental traversal, and careful positioning shape the encounters, which are built around discovery rather than ordinary enemy waves. Reading the colossus’s weak points and using the environment are essential to reaching the final target.

Story and world: The quiet landscapes, abandoned temples, and immense creatures create a sense of scale and solitude as Wander’s journey gradually reveals its deeper mystery. The restored presentation supports a haunting experience for players who enjoy exploration, monumental boss encounters, minimalistic storytelling, and emotionally charged action adventures on PlayStation 4.
