Demon's Souls

Demon’s Souls is an action role-playing game developed by From Software and published by Atlus for PlayStation 3. In the kingdom of Boletaria, the Old One has awakened and a demonic fog is consuming the land, calling a lone adventurer to the Nexus and toward the fallen King Allant.

The campaign combines third-person exploration with deliberate weapon combat, stamina management, character creation, soul-based progression, and dangerous stages reached through the Nexus. Death returns the hero in Soul Form, while Archstones, recovering lost souls, and World and Character Tendency shape the risks, routes, and rewards of each attempt.

Demon’s Souls is a single-player-focused experience with online messages, bloodstains, cooperative summons, and invasions that can turn another player into a Black Phantom; GameFAQs lists one local player and up to four online players. Its demanding bosses, branching world choices, and quiet forms of assistance or rivalry make every hard-won soul part of the struggle to restore Boletaria.
