Game Review

Drakengard 2 — a 2005 action role-playing game developed by Cavia and published by Square Enix in Japan and Ubisoft elsewhere for PlayStation 2. It is the second entry in the Drakengard series and this record represents the original PS2 game converted to PS3, not a separate modern PS3 release.

The story takes place after the events of the original Drakengard. Its action-RPG structure continues the series’ dark fantasy setting through combat-focused missions and a continuing conflict shaped by the earlier game’s world.

Drakengard 2 is cataloged as a single-player PS2-to-PS3 conversion. The title retains the series identity established by Cavia and Square Enix while providing a direct sequel experience for players seeking classic PlayStation 2 action role-playing games. Developer: Cavia; publishers: Square Enix and Ubisoft.

The most important factor is the system firmware version. Versions 4.90 and below are the easiest and most common.

Technically yes, but with extreme caution. Connecting to PSN can lead to bans. There are private servers and alternative projects, but they are not official PSN.
