Dynasty Warriors: Gundam brings the large-scale action of the Warriors series into the Universal Century and other Gundam timelines. Pilots command powerful mobile suits across battlefields filled with rival machines, strategic objectives, and dramatic clashes drawn from the anime universe.

Official Mode follows key stories from the Universal Century, while Original Mode creates a new conflict that brings pilots and mobile suits from several Gundam series together, giving the campaign two distinct narrative approaches. Players can combine pilots and machines in different ways, and missions break their main goals into smaller objectives that reward careful movement and battlefield awareness.

The PlayStation 3 action game supports both solo and multiplayer battles, with rapid melee attacks, ranged weapons, special techniques, and huge groups of enemies filling each encounter. The mix of tactical positioning, character stories, and fast mobile-suit combat gives the Gundam crossover its own identity.
