Final Fantasy Origins I y II
Final Fantasy Origins is a PlayStation compilation containing enhanced versions of the first two Final Fantasy role-playing games. This record represents the PlayStation compilation converted to PS3, not a native modern PS3 release. It brings Final Fantasy and Final Fantasy II together in one package and introduced the second game to Western players.
Both adventures combine party-based exploration, turn-based battles, fantasy quests, equipment management, and progression through a large world. The Origins versions are based on the WonderSwan Color editions and add streamlined gameplay, enhanced graphics, remixed soundtracks, computer-generated FMV scenes, additional content, and an art gallery featuring Yoshitaka Amano’s illustrations.
The compilation retains the classic role-playing structure of its source games and is designed for single-player use on PlayStation. Its updated presentation includes improved music arranged by Nobuo Uematsu for Final Fantasy and by Tsuyoshi Sekito for Final Fantasy II, while save slots use the capacity of the PlayStation Memory Card. Catalog status: PlayStation-to-PS3 conversion; developer: Square Co., Ltd.; mode: single-player.
