Ghost Rider
Ghost Rider is a 2007 action-adventure game for PlayStation 2 based loosely on the Marvel character and the film tie-in. This record represents the original PS2 game converted to PS3, not a native modern PS3 release. The story sends Johnny Blaze, the Ghost Rider, against Mephisto’s son Blackheart and an army of demons.
The main campaign moves from stage to stage through third-person beat-’em-up combat. Players use the Rider’s flaming chain, unlock new combos and abilities with collected souls, and fight demonic enemies in a sequence of action-focused levels. Motorcycle-driving sections and comic-panel cutscenes connect the missions.
GameSpot describes a fixed-angle camera inspired by God of War, along with repetitive enemies, combo-based fighting, and straightforward motorcycle sequences. The PS2 edition is a single-player action adventure; the multiplayer and challenge features discussed in the review belong to the PSP version, so they are not applied to this PS2 record. Ghost Rider is cataloged here as PS2-to-PS3.
