God of War: Ascension – PS3 Action Adventure - God of War: Ascension is an action-adventure hack and slash game developed by Santa Monica Studio and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for PlayStation 3. Set before the original God of War, the story follows Kratos as he confronts the consequences of breaking his blood oath to Ares and searches for a path to freedom.

Mythological combat and cinematic spectacle: A brutal Greek adventure: Use the Blades of Chaos and new combat abilities to fight mythological creatures, solve environmental puzzles, and move through dramatic locations shaped by Greek mythology. The fixed cinematic presentation emphasizes the scale of battles and the intensity of Kratos’ movement, while the campaign combines exploration, platforming, puzzles, and fast melee combat.

Kratos before the first game: A focused single-player story: Discover the events that shaped Kratos’ defiance and experience a narrative-driven journey filled with gods, monsters, ancient ruins, and cinematic set pieces. God of War: Ascension also includes a separate multiplayer component in the original PS3 release, while this description focuses on the core story experience.
