Heroes Of The Pacific

Heroes of the Pacific — a flight-combat and simulation game developed by IR Gurus and released for PlayStation 2 in 2005. The campaign follows Navy pilot Crowe from the attack on Pearl Harbor through major battles of the Pacific Theater. This record represents the original PS2 game converted to PS3, not a separate modern PS3 release.

A mission-based World War II air campaign. Players fly fighters, dive bombers, torpedo planes, and bombers while taking part in operations connected with Pearl Harbor, Wake Island, Midway, and other historical battles. The campaign also includes historical footage and multiple difficulty settings.

The game combines accessible flight controls with bombing, torpedo launches, instant action, and additional historical missions. GameSpot notes that the title favors an enjoyable action-oriented flight style over a pitch-perfect simulation. Heroes of the Pacific is cataloged here as a PS2-to-PS3 conversion. Developer: IR Gurus.
