Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition
Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition is a 2D fighting game developed by NetherRealm Studios and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment for PlayStation 3. The story revisits the Mortal Kombat conflict through Raiden’s attempt to change a future in which Shao Kahn has defeated Earthrealm’s defenders.
Its combat combines punches, kicks, special moves, combos, X-ray attacks, stage fatalities, and a large roster with the series’ distinctive brutal finishers. Story mode, arcade-style ladders, Tag Team battles, the Challenge Tower, and a Krypt full of unlockable content give the edition a substantial offline structure, while the included DLC adds Skarlet, Kenshi, Rain, and Freddy Krueger.
The PS3 release supports one or two local players and historically offered Internet multiplayer for up to eight players, including King of the Hill and other competitive options; WB Games Support states that online multiplayer on PS3 is no longer available. The Komplete Edition therefore preserves a cinematic, story-driven return to 2D Mortal Kombat while collecting the major post-launch characters and modes in one package.
