Dakar Desert Rally is an open-world off-road racing adventure for PlayStation 5, built around the speed, endurance, and navigation of the official Dakar Rally. Drive across vast Saudi Arabian environments in licensed cars, bikes, trucks, quads, and SSVs, while mastering changing terrain, road books, weather, and rally strategy.

Key Features

• Experience more than 130 stages inspired by the official 2020, 2021, and 2022 Dakar Rally events.

• Drive more than 150 licensed vehicles across five categories, with official teams, pilots, and manufacturers.

• Race through an immense open world with sandstorms, rain, snow, mud, a full day-night cycle, and four seasons.

• Use authentic-style road books for navigation, or choose more accessible arcade road books in Sport mode.

• Develop a Rally Raid career in single-player or compete online with up to four players.

World and Competition

The game recreates the demanding landscapes and long-distance challenges of Saudi Arabia, where route choice and control are as important as outright speed. Tackle technical off-road sections, react to dynamic weather, and keep your vehicle moving through one of motorsport’s toughest environments. Dakar Desert Rally launched on PS5 on October 4, 2022.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is the difference between PKG and FPKG game formats?

PKG is the official package format for installing content on PS5. FPKG is a modified PKG that allows installing and running unofficial content on a jailbroken console.

2. What is the most important factor for a PS5 jailbreak?

The most important factor is the system firmware version. Versions 11.00 and below are the easiest and most common, while newer versions may require methods like BD-JB via Blu-ray.

3. Is the PS5 jailbreak permanent like the PS3's CFW?

No, it is temporary. A full power-off clears the exploit, so you must re-run it (via browser, USB, or Blu-ray) after each cold boot.

4. What is GoldHEN in the context of PS5 modding?

GoldHEN is a homebrew enabler that runs after the exploit, enabling additional permissions and allowing unofficial apps and tools.

5. Can I play online multiplayer games after jailbreaking?

Technically yes, but with extreme caution. Connecting to PSN can lead to bans. There are private servers and alternative projects, but they are not official PSN.
