Game Review

God of War: Sons of Sparta - PS5 - Embark on a canonical Greek odyssey as a young Kratos and his brother Deimos, forged through the brutal Agoge training, in this 2D action-platformer from Mega Cat Studios and Santa Monica Studio.

A story of duty, honor, and brotherhood:

• Spartan Combat: Master the spear and shield in grounded, tactical combat. Parry, dodge, and use the divine Gifts of Olympus to overcome mythical beasts and a secret cult threatening Sparta.

• Metroidvania Exploration: Explore ancient Laconia through intricate, hand-drawn pixel art levels. Solve environmental puzzles, uncover secrets, and unlock new paths with divine relics like the Solar Sling.

• Local Co-op & Challenge Mode: Team up with a friend in local couch co-op to control Deimos, and face the endgame roguelite trials of The Pit for endless Spartan challenges.

• A Legend Begins: Witness the formative years of Kratos, narrated by the original voice actor TC Carson, in a heartfelt prequel that explores the bonds that shaped the Ghost of Sparta.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is the difference between PKG and FPKG game formats?

PKG is the official package format for installing content on PS5. FPKG is a modified PKG that allows installing and running unofficial content on a jailbroken console.

2. What is the most important factor for a PS5 jailbreak?

The most important factor is the system firmware version. Versions 11.00 and below are the easiest and most common, while newer versions may require methods like BD-JB via Blu-ray.

3. Is the PS5 jailbreak permanent like the PS3's CFW?

No, it is temporary. A full power-off clears the exploit, so you must re-run it (via browser, USB, or Blu-ray) after each cold boot.

4. What is GoldHEN in the context of PS5 modding?

GoldHEN is a homebrew enabler that runs after the exploit, enabling additional permissions and allowing unofficial apps and tools.

5. Can I play online multiplayer games after jailbreaking?

Technically yes, but with extreme caution. Connecting to PSN can lead to bans. There are private servers and alternative projects, but they are not official PSN.
