Oddworld Soulstorm

Oddworld: Soulstorm is a cinematic 2.9D action-platform adventure for PlayStation 5, developed by Oddworld Inhabitants. Continuing after Oddworld: New ’n’ Tasty, it follows Abe as he transforms from an exploited Mudokon worker into an unlikely hero and beacon of hope. Scavenge for supplies, craft tools and weapons, rescue fellow Mudokons, and use the strength of your followers to overcome the oppressive forces controlling Oddworld. Release Date: April 6, 2021.

• Scavenge and Craft: Search trash cans, lockers, boxes, and hidden areas for loot and materials, then unlock recipes to build useful items and weapons for Abe and his followers.

• Make Strategic Choices: Pickpocket, trade surplus supplies for Moolah, purchase useful items, manage resources, and decide how to approach each obstacle and encounter.

• Multiple Endings and Replayability: Replay completed levels through Level Select, improve your Quarma score, earn badges, and pursue better endings by saving more Mudokons.

• Enhanced PS5 Experience: Play at a higher visual and performance standard with DualSense features that communicate Abe’s stress, heartbeat, and physical resistance through haptic feedback and adaptive triggers.

Story and World:

Abe was once a compliant worker in the corporate machine of RuptureFarms, unaware of how greed would consume his people. After discovering the truth and escaping, he becomes driven by a greater purpose: saving the Mudokons. Soulstorm continues this story as Abe confronts a powerful, wealthy, and controlling force. Across industrial facilities, brutal obstacle courses, and vast cinematic spaces, he must lead his people to freedom while gathering materials, crafting equipment, and making choices that shape the outcome. The followers he rescues can become a source of strength, standing guard, fighting back, or assisting with puzzles. Saving enough Mudokons unlocks better Quarma outcomes, new levels, and additional endings.
