Dead Island 2 Gold Edition is a first-person action role-playing game set in a quarantined Los Angeles after a devastating zombie outbreak. Players choose a survivor with unique abilities, explore a stylised version of the city, and uncover the events behind the infection while moving between districts filled with hostile undead and desperate survivors.

Gameplay and features: Fight zombies with a broad range of firearms and improvised melee weapons, using timing, positioning, and the environment to survive. FLESH system: visible damage reacts to different attacks, allowing encounters to feel physical and varied. Character development: customise abilities through the skill-card system, combine effects, and shape a survivor suited to your approach. The Gold Edition also packages the base game with additional premium content.

Story and world: The game balances violent encounters with dark humour as the survivors travel through beaches, mansions, studios, and other recognisable Los Angeles locations. Quests reveal personal stories and competing responses to the crisis, while optional exploration rewards curiosity and gives the open districts more texture beyond the main route.
