Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne continues Max Payne’s dark story when a routine investigation brings him back into the path of Mona Sax, a woman he believed was dead. Their connection draws Max into a dangerous conspiracy unfolding through the night streets of New York.

Gameplay and features: Move through cinematic action scenes, use pistols, submachine guns, rifles and shotguns, and activate the enhanced Bullet Time system to control the pace of firefights. Allies, physics-driven objects, graphic-novel scenes and replayable challenge modes add variety around the central shooting loop. Precision, movement and timing define each encounter.

Presentation and identity: Film-noir storytelling, tragic romance and stylized slow-motion action give the game its distinctive identity. Rockstar Vienna handled the PlayStation 2 release, while Rockstar Games published it.
