A new chapter in the Gurhal conflict. Phantasy Star Universe: Ambition of the Illuminus is a science-fiction action RPG set after the events of Phantasy Star Universe. The expansion follows a new player-created guardian while the Illuminus threat and the SEED crisis endanger the planets and colonies of the Gurhal System.

New missions, areas, and deeper progression. Players explore new locations, battle enemies in real time, develop characters through classes and skills, synthesize and collect equipment, and tackle story and network missions. The game expands the original formula with additional content, a raised level cap, and greater character customization.
