Spider-Man

Spider-Man follows the web-slinging hero through a focused action adventure filled with villains, rescues and dramatic city encounters. The PlayStation 3 record presents a linear comic-book journey in which Spider-Man protects the city while uncovering a larger threat.

Gameplay and features: Swing across environments, climb surfaces, use web abilities and combine acrobatic movement with close combat to overcome enemies and reach new areas. The campaign mixes traversal, battles and set-piece objectives around Spider-Man's distinctive powers. Web movement gives every encounter a strong sense of vertical freedom.

Presentation and identity: The game uses comic-book storytelling, a recognizable cast of heroes and villains and a colorful urban setting. Developed by Neversoft Entertainment and published by Activision, it became a defining Spider-Man action adventure of its generation.
