Tony Hawk's Project 8

Tony Hawk’s Project 8 follows a group of professional skateboarders competing to become part of an elite crew formed by Tony Hawk. The career path connects street courses, contests, and goal-based activities as the player builds a reputation through demanding runs.

The skating system is built around linked tricks, manuals, grinds, and special moves that can be shaped into large combinations, while the open course layouts include traffic, pedestrians, ramps, rails, and alternate lines, making route choice important during each attempt.

The PlayStation 3 release offers a solo career alongside competitive multiplayer events, where score, speed, and technical execution define success. Its grounded presentation and demanding objectives give the series’ physics-based skating a more urban and competitive focus.
