Drakengard
Drakengard — an action role-playing game developed by Cavia and published by Square Enix for PlayStation 2. Its record is a legacy PS2 game converted to PS3, not a separate modern PS3 release. The story follows Caim and his dragon partner Angelus in a conflict between the Union and the Empire.
Three connected forms of combat. Ground missions use sword slashes, magic, dash attacks, weapon switching, combos, and temporary ally control. Aerial missions place the player in control of Angelus, who uses free-aim blasts, homing bolts, and area attacks against groups of targets.
Progression and branching outcomes. Weapons gain experience through use, while the world map links verses across thirteen chapters and optional conditions unlock five endings. With its hack-and-slash action, aerial battles, and single-player structure, Drakengard is cataloged here as a PS2-to-PS3 conversion. Developer: Cavia; publisher: Square Enix.
